Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Manfarang (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Manfarang web application, an AI-powered sales development platform that automates cold email outreach for B2B businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: Your email address and display name, collected when you sign up via Google or Microsoft OAuth. A random display name is generated at signup, which you can change at any time.
  • Website content: When you provide your website URL during onboarding, we scrape publicly available content from your website to generate your ideal customer profile (ICP) using AI. This content is processed but not permanently stored.
  • Campaign and ICP data: Your ideal customer profile configurations, campaign settings, email sequences, sending schedules, and any edits you make to AI-generated content.
  • Lead data: Names, email addresses, job titles, and company information of leads discovered through Hunter.io based on your ICP. This data is sourced from Hunter.io, not collected directly from the leads themselves.
  • Email reply content: When leads reply to your outreach emails, we read and store the reply content from your connected inbox for AI classification (positive, negative, or neutral) and display on your dashboard. Outbound emails are sent through your inbox via the Gmail API or Microsoft Graph API and are not stored on our servers.
  • Connected inbox access: When you connect your Gmail or Outlook account via OAuth, we receive permission to send emails on your behalf and read incoming replies. We do not access emails unrelated to your Manfarang campaigns.
  • Payment information: Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. We do not store your credit card details. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and billing events from Lemon Squeezy.
  • Analytics data: We use PostHog to collect page views, product usage events, device and browser information, and IP addresses for analytics purposes. See Section 6 for details.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Manfarang service
  • To generate ideal customer profiles from your website content using AI
  • To discover and verify lead contact information via Hunter.io
  • To generate personalized email sequences using AI
  • To send emails and follow-ups through your connected inbox
  • To classify incoming replies using AI and surface them on your dashboard
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions through Lemon Squeezy
  • To send transactional emails such as trial expiry notifications
  • To analyze aggregated usage patterns and improve the product

4. AI Data Processing

Manfarang uses the Anthropic Claude API for AI-powered features. The following data is sent to Anthropic for processing:

  • Your website content (for ICP generation)
  • Lead company information (for email personalization)
  • Incoming reply text (for reply classification)

Data sent to Anthropic is processed in accordance with Anthropic's data usage policies. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. We do not send your email account credentials or payment information to Anthropic.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage as follows:

  • Authentication cookies: Managed by Supabase Auth to maintain your login session.
  • Local storage: Used to remember your preferences such as theme settings and cookie banner dismissal.
  • Affiliate tracking cookies: If you visit Manfarang via an affiliate link, Lemon Squeezy may set a cookie to attribute the referral. This is used solely for affiliate commission tracking. No additional personal data is collected for this purpose.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking of any kind.

6. Analytics and Tracking

We use PostHog for website and product analytics. PostHog collects:

  • Page views and navigation patterns
  • Product usage events
  • Device and browser information
  • IP address

Session recording is not enabled. We do not sell your personal data. Analytics data is used solely to improve the website and product. Analytics data may be processed in the EU. You can request deletion of your analytics data by contacting us at support@manfarang.com.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Manfarang:

  • Supabase: Database, authentication, and infrastructure. Data stored in North Virginia, United States (US East).
  • Lemon Squeezy: Payment processing and subscription management (Merchant of Record).
  • Hunter.io: Lead discovery, email finding, and email verification. Lead data (names, emails, companies) is sourced from Hunter.io's database.
  • Anthropic (Claude API): AI processing for ICP generation, email writing, and reply classification.
  • Gmail API / Microsoft Graph API: Email sending and reply reading through your connected inbox.
  • Vercel: Application hosting.
  • PostHog: Product analytics (EU instance).
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery (e.g., trial expiry notifications).

Each third-party service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

8. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure in North Virginia, United States, with encryption at rest and in transit. We use row-level security to ensure that each user can only access their own data. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data, campaign data, and lead data for as long as your account is active. If your subscription expires, your data is retained in a read-only state so you can resubscribe without losing your work. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days. We retain a record of email addresses that have claimed a free trial to prevent trial abuse; no other data is retained after account deletion.

10. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. We share data only with the third-party service providers listed above, solely for the purpose of operating the service. We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal process.

11. Your Rights

We are committed to compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws. You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
  • Disconnect your email account at any time through account settings

You can exercise most of these rights through your account settings. You may also contact us at support@manfarang.com for data export or deletion requests. If you believe your data protection rights have not been adequately addressed, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

12. Lead Data and Third-Party Rights

Lead contact information displayed in Manfarang is sourced from Hunter.io's publicly available database. Manfarang does not collect this data directly from the individuals it pertains to. If you are a lead whose information appears in Manfarang and you wish to exercise your data protection rights, please contact us at support@manfarang.com and we will remove your information from our systems.

13. Children's Privacy

Manfarang is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

14. International Data Transfers

Your primary data is stored in the United States (North Virginia). Some third-party services may process data in other regions. As a Swedish-operated service subject to GDPR, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers in accordance with GDPR requirements, including where data is transferred to the United States.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
